Stranger Than Fiction Photos
An unusual photo collection from around the Web
Unusual photos from around the Web... A car that looks like a giant beetle, a car in a dumpster, one covered by a doily, and a convertible in all sizes from regular to tiny. There is a yacht on a rock, a ship that literally landed on the dock and one that sank in the harbor. A man sleeps in a hammock stretched across the railroad tracks and two trains that tried to squeeze onto the same track, and more...

Icebergs in the Antarctic area sometimes have stripes, formed by layers of snow that react to different conditions. Blue stripes are often created when a crevice in the ice sheet fills up with meltwater and freezes so quickly that no bubbles form. When an iceberg falls into the sea, a layer of salty seawater can freeze to the underside. If this is rich in algae, it can form green stripes. Brown, black and yellow lines are caused by sediment, picked up when the ice sheet grinds downhill towards the sea.
