Scum Bags, aka “Blue Dog Democrats”
Here’re your choices for representation in Congress: a “Blue Dog Democrat” (who says s/he is a conservative Democrat) or Barbara Boxer.
Which do you prefer?
It’s a no-brainer for me. As a conservative independent I would prefer Boxer because she’s far more honest than the low-life pieces of shit that deceive voters by calling themselves “Blue Dogs.”
The House has 52 members that call themselves Blue Dogs. By my count, 27 of them voted for Pelosi’s health care bill (HR 3962) which is socialized medicine, plain and simple.
Conservative? You can’t get more liberal than that.
Some members of the Senate try to win over moderate voters by clinging to the soiled coattails of House Blue Dogs. Off the top of my head three Senators come to mind: Ben Nelson, Blanche Lincoln and Mary Landrieu. But, alas, they are just as deceptive as House Blue Dogs.
To illustrate, take Harry Reid’s health care bill now being debated. We know Boxer is four-square behind the bill while Blue Dog pretenders like Nelson, Lincoln and Landrieu say they are against the guts of the bill: the public option and tax funded abortions.
However, following the lead of the 27 Pelosi ass kissers, Nelson, Lincoln and Landrieu licked Harry Reid’s ass and voted AGAINST cloture. That stopped a Republican filibuster which would have killed the abomination in its tracks. Then they rushed to the cameras to posture and pretend that they will join Republicans and vote against the final bill if it contains a public option or tax funded abortions.
There’s just one little problem with that fakery: Reid can make sure the objectionable provisions are removed so that 60 Senators will vote to bring the bill to the floor. On the floor, the bill needs only 51 votes for approval.
Then the approved Senate version (sans a public option and tax funded abortions) will go to conference with the approved House version which includes a public option and tax funded abortions. The conference members — all appointed by Pelosi and Reid — will quickly settle on inclusion of the controversial provisions. The bill and Conference Report will then go straight to the Senate floor where, under the rules, it cannot be filibustered and it needs only 51 votes for passage.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why Blue Dogs and Blue Dog pretenders are lower than whale shit.
