NYT: NBC Fired Producer For Faking Zimmerman Tape

BUT, NBC refuses to name the rogue producer.
Sooo, what we have is an inveterate liar, The New York Times, telling us that a chronic liar, NBC, has “leaked” that they secretly fired an unnamed producer for doing work that NBC routinely does to get it’s stories on the air.
Why am I skeptical about the alleged firing?
NYT:
NBC News has fired a producer who was involved in the production of a misleading segment about the Trayvon Martin case in Florida.The person was fired on Thursday, according to two people with direct knowledge of the disciplinary action who declined to be identified discussing internal company matters. They also declined to name the fired producer. A spokeswoman for NBC News declined to comment.
