First came citizen apathy. Then came open borders. Now comes the enemy within.
Homeland Security: We’ve warned for years that an Islamist underground exists in this country, secretly working to take over the U.S. Now the mainstream media is waking up to the threat.Yes, theirs is an ambitious plan. But the enemy lurking within is assiduous, patient and well-organized. We are only now starting to see its tentacles, thanks to a landmark federal terror-financing case under way in Dallas. …

ISNA? MAYA? CAIR?
Yep! And Jorge Arbusto has entertained them regularly in the White House. You remember the White House, don’t you? That’s the place in Washington, D.C. that Jorge uses as a conference center to plan the NAU and the end to traditional America.
One document revealed in the trial:
“The Ikhwan [the Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions,” …

Myrick, sheriff ask state to start prison program like Mecklenburg’s
U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick [R-Charlotte] and Mecklenburg County Sheriff Jim Pendergraph [D-Charlotte] called Tuesday for North Carolina to begin determining the citizenship of all inmates entering the prison system.
Myrick said the program would resemble the current illegal-immigrant screening at Mecklenburg’s jail, where about 2,600 illegal immigrants have been identified since May 2006.

PoliPundit analyzes Thompson’s remarks and links to a Washington Times article that has this Thompson quote:
But we’re in a danger zone here because we’re playing the Democats’ game. The Democrats have decided that the politicians that make it the easiest for people to come into this country are going to get their votes. And some of the Republicans are looking at that and saying, “They may just be right, and we want to get in on the action.” I think that’s driving a lot of this. You know, I don’t know the answer to that, but if you study history, you come to the conclusion that doing the right thing often times works out. We can’t predict how this is going to work or how that’s going to work, but when the rule of law is at stake, when national security is at stake, when you’re doing some things that’s unfair to good people who are standing in line waiting their turn to be good United States citizens legally, then you have to put that aside. And as Republicans we have always been more likely to take that position. And I’m hoping that at the end of the day that’s still where most of our legislators are going to be on this, and we can get back to where we need to be, focusing on border security.
From Steve Elliott, Grassfire.org Alliance:
Patty Compean, wife of imprisoned U.S. Border Patrol agent Jose Compean, offers her thoughts on the crisis facing her husband, her family and our nation.
“I really hope you are moved by this tribute that my little sister created. The idea came about when I mentioned to my sister how much Avril Lavigne’s “Keep Holding On” song made me think about Jose every time I would hear it. The desperation he must be feeling not knowing what was going on with his case until he read about it in a letter or heard it on the radio and what I would tell him. This song also reminds me of all of the victims of this war on law enforcement and their families who are going through the same thing as we are. What they must be going through and feeling. It is my hope that after listening to it, you will send it to your friends and family.”
Thank you,
Patty

CONTRACTORmag.com:
Immigration document surprises contractorsWASHINGTON – Contractors must maintain I-9 employment eligibility forms and supporting documents for all employees, human resources consultant Stephanie A. Peters told contractors here. A handful of surprised contractors had not heard of the form, created during the last immigration reform drive in the mid-1980s during the Reagan era.
“Are they [prospective employees] who they say they are and are they eligible to work,” Peters rhetorically asked members of Quality Service Contractors, an enhanced service group of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors National Association.
Peters urged the contractors to audit their existing I-9 documents to make sure they have them on all employees and that they have copies of identification attached to all of them.
Peters is a regional vice president for human resources consulting firm, SESCO Management Consultants, Bristol,Tenn.
Some contractors expressed surprise that they had to have an I-9 form for all employees — including those named Smith or Jones — and not just the employees with foreign-sounding names.
